About Allana

A little about me: I was born on May 7 in Akron, Ohio and spent most of my childhood in the very small town of Canal Fulton, Ohio. You know – those types of towns where there is one gas station – and one ice cream parlor – (that is still there by the way). While growing up, I was a tomboy – playing basketball, football, and softball. Anything athletic I wanted to play and I played most everything well.  During high school – I focused on basketball (yes – that is where the strong legs came in handy) and track. I attended college and graduated.  While playing basketball, I found that I enjoyed lifting weights much more than I did playing point guard for my school.  I truly enjoyed the empowerment the weights gave to me.

I joined the United States Air Force and was stationed at Edwards AFB in California. It was here that I began to train very seriously in kickboxing. After I received an honorable discharge from the military, I broke my left knee, snapped my tibia plateau, and this is when I began to work out with weights. I was in a wheelchair for 6 months and crutches for 10 weeks and two hospital stays until I was able to start my rehabilitation. Needless to say, I couldn’t wait to get to a gym! I had a lifelong dream of competing professionally in bodybuilding. It is important to me to be an inspiration to others, and I feel my recovery proves this. Never let anyone tell you that you can’t do something. And that is how my journey began.

It was in California when I started pumping heavy weights in Venice as well as wrestling. As a gifted athlete, my abilities exceed the gym. I strengthen every part of me. Lifting heavy is a mental feat. It is not just a technique, although skill and practice is required, it is about having the mental discipline and capacity to believe that you can lift anything. That is why I started practicing the overhead lift – heavy – and before I knew it, I was doing overhead lifts with men as my barbell-for reps!!

The power I felt doing this was incredible – and still is. I am powerful and sexy all at the same time. That’s why I am Allana.

This upcoming year will be a great year. I’ve worked to build a lot of size these past two years and create thick, rock-hard muscle. You can check out my unbelievable stats on on this new site! This year when I compete, I will be in the best condition of my life. I’m looking forward to touring and traveling this year and getting back up on the competition stage. I look forward to seeing all of you this year!

This year’s motto: “I’ve been to hell and back – and enjoyed every minute of it.”
